The site, which is currently under excavation, contains the remains of over 30 stone buildings and was home to the first farmers and their descendants for over 2000 years. This is the home of the Orkney Venus, also affectionately known as the Westray Wife, a stone figurine. Found here in 2009, she is the earliest human representation known from Scotland and now on show in the Westray Heritage Centre.
